-What do you tell us about the national team? There is no doubt that all Qataris enjoy watching their national team, especially when they play against their rivals in the region.

This year Qatar won the Asian Cup ...

It is true, it is a historic victory for the country, especially because of the current situation of the blockade on Qatar imposed by some neighboring countries. It has been difficult for the Qatari team to reach Emirates, the venue for the cup, due to air, land and sea blockade imposed on Qatar by Saudi Arabia, the Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt. The Qatari National team had to enter via Oman to the UAE, it was a long journey, a bit stressful for the Qatari players.

In 2017, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt cut off all communication channels to economically isolate the State of Qatar, which had a great humanitarian impact in the region.

Despite that, we defeated Saudi Arabia (2-0 in the group stage) and the United Arab Emirates  in their territory (4-0) and defeated Japan in the finals (1-3)

Yes, it is a great opportunity for the national  team, because we will face big teams like Brazil and Uruguay and our   participation in a tournament like this one is so important because it gives the team the opportunity to be playing in a competitive environment close to the level of competition in the World Cup.

The country has the Aspire Academy, established under the instructions of His Highness the Emir Father Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, with the aim of developing the best athletes in the state of Qatar. Because of the success that the country has reached, some countries feel jealous of the progress of the State of Qatar, but this success achieved by the state is the result of a continuous preparation that Qatar has had in recent years and proof of this are the most important sports activities in the region that hosts Qatar. Qatar has demonstrated its ability to host tournaments and world championships and has a commitment with the public and FIFA at the 2022 World Cup, even when there is the possibility of increasing the number of teams that will participate in the 2022 World Cup .

Qatar is characterized by its traditions and customs to mention some its hospitality towards foreigners and respect for visitors.
