Ambassador Mohamed bin Jassem ِAl-Kuwari, said:
"Many people do not want Qatar to host the 2022 World Cup  because it is a very small country, and the neighboring countries have claimed:" Why Qatar? "The diplomat said in an interview on W Radio.

He added: "Jealousy caused many of the rumors about the World Cup 2022 in Qatar, but the State of Qatar goes according to the plans with FIFA and  according to the timelines."

Qatar showed to the world its capacity in organizing events at international level. When there was a possibility for the expansion of the 2022 World Cup to include 48 teams, there was interest from some neighboring countries to host some games like the UAE, but the World Cup will be held in Qatar and with the participation of 32 teams as already announced by FIFA.
