Ambassador Mohamed Al Kuwari participated 4 november in the ceremony of installation of the Mexico-Qatar Friendship Group with the presence of deputees.
In his speech, the ambassador said that the installation of the Mexico-Qatar friendship group is an occasion to celebrate the bilateral relations.
He recalled that in 2015 and 2016, both countries signed more than 15 bilateral agreements in trade, culture, art, professional education, banking, sports, youth, news exchange and energy.
Most of them, he said, are already ratified by the Senate of the Republic.
"These agreements are part of the strategic relation between the two countries."
"The geographical distance between the countries is not a barrier to accelerate diplomatic or trade relations, on the contrary, the similarities we have as countries in our principles, have demonstrated that cultural diversity is a power to achieve mutually beneficial relations," he said.
The president of the group, Deputy Sergio Pérez Hernández, highlighted the importance of the bilateral relations between the two countries for the development and cooperation in different sectors.
