The ambassador of Qatar in Mexico advanced to us  some options that the organizing committee prepares for 2022; Two of the eight stadiums are ready.

The ambassador of Qatar in Mexico, Mohammed Jasimm M.A. Al-Kuwari, talked with ¨La Afición¨ about all the details that we have to know about the  World Cup 2022 to be held in Qatar. He is enthusiastic about the event, he knows that it is the perfect opportunity for the world to know more about Qatar.

Is it Expensive to be in Qatar,

 "it's like everywhere, you can find less expensive food, especially in an event like this, so there's nothing to worry about."

He continued: "We have luxurious hotels, but there are also very cheap accommodation. There will be Arab tents for the World Cup, which will not cost so much. And in the food there are Arabic bread sandwiches  that doesn´t cost a lot".

The flight from Mexico City to Qatar, located in western Asia, lasts about 18 hours and 25 minutes, with two stopovers, one in the United States and the other in Europe. The cost of this flight is around 33,875 pesos, although it may vary.

There is another option, with a cost of 47,432 pesos, with a single scale in the Old Continent.

After so many hours in the air, what will the fan find? "We have prepared ourselves to welcome fans from all over the world. We want them to know the culture of our country, "said Mohammed Jasimm M.A. Al-Kuwari.

Safety

One of the most frequently asked questions is if Qatar is prepared for security.

The ambassador explained that "Qatar has one of the lowest crime rates in the world. We work with experts to guarantee security, but Qatar is qualified as the safest country in the region. "

The currency

In Qatar you pay with the Riyal; one US dollar equals 3.64 QAR, while one QAR equals 5.27 Mexican pesos.

Distances

The World Cup will be more comfortable for all the fans ; The stadiums and training centres will be limited to 235 square miles.

Qatar´s economy is one of the richest economies in the world based on GDP per capital  with a population of 2.7 million people
