Ambassador´s conference at UNAM University about World Cup Qatar 2022

Ambassador of Qatar to Mexico, Mohamed Al kuwari gave a conference on 31/10/2019 about the Qatar´s 2022 World Cup at UNAM University, with the presence of professors and students from the faculty of political and social science. HE ambassador spoke about the impact that the 2022 Qatar World Cup would leave in the whole world since it is the first World Cup to be held in a Middle Eastern Arab country, which will make this edition of the World Cup a unique experience for Fans to get to know Qatari culture, traditions, and the modern side of this beautiful country. Qatar, this country rich in natural resources has worked throughout recent years on human, cultural, and sustainable development.

According to Qatar´s  National Vision 2030, the country has promoted several educational, social and sports initiatives  serving the education of more than 10 million children around the world thanks to the support of the Qatar Foundation, which has always been concerned with the development of education,  and through the educational city of Qatar, which  has the best international universities and educational institutions in the area.

On the way to the World Cup in Qatar, the country is working together with FIFA according to international quality standards in terms of construction, infrastructure development, to ensure a global carbon-free, sustainable world cup.

The construction of the World Cup stadiums is progressing safely, thus, the blockade imposed by neighboring countries against Qatar has not affected the achievements and determination of the country in terms of World Cup projects. The country has so far opened 2 stadiums, Khalifa stadium that was renovated and opened in 2017, Al Janoub stadium in 2019, and this year another stadium ¨¨Education City¨ will be inaugurated. Qatar, despite the media campaign made by the countries of the blockade to attack the development of the country and speak  against the country and its People, has continued with its plan to show the world the true image and capacity of the country and the determination  of its people in achieving what they want: Not only did Qatar win the organization of the 2022 Qatar World Cup, also, the country will host the Club World Cup for this year and for 2020.

75% of the infrastructure for the Qatar World Cup is ready, fans can enjoy the beauty of the country and its modern infrastructure, where the longest distance between the stadiums is only 45min, and they can attend more than one match in one day. The places of accommodation are all close to the stadiums; the Qatari people are very warm and welcome all fans to enjoy the cultural and touristic environment of the country.
